During the summer of 2023, I had the privilege of interning with Commercial Realty Specialists.

Throughout my time with CRS, I was exposed to the exciting world of lease renegotiations and the intricacies of securing favorable lease terms. Randy and Barron took me under their wing and encouraged me to ask as many questions as possible about the leasing process and how to create value for clients. The company fosters a friendly work environment and is committed to helping their interns grow during their time at CRS.

While at CRS, I was able to further my knowledge of commercial real estate by analyzing lease agreements and communicating with other brokers in the area. My job duties included creating lease abstracts and LOIs (letters of Intent) for new deals, assessing individual client needs, searching for properties via AIRCRE, in-person prospecting, and conducting market research for the Orange County area. I was also responsible for cold calling potential clients, updating the company database, contacting city planners for zoning information, helping clients tour spaces, and updating the WordPress website with relevant market information. 

During my internship, I had the opportunity to develop my communication skills by making calls to clients and brokers. When I first began working, I was nervous about making calls to clients and possibly saying the wrong thing, but through practice, I quickly became comfortable on the phone, and I now feel confident making phone calls and working with clients.

I am grateful for the learning opportunities that this internship has provided, and I look forward to staying in touch with the team at CRS.
